Mum's day cards and loot, and an art journal page with the new supplies. This morning has been so relaxing and so sweet. A wake up call with tea and smiling faces and presents all furled up in many layers of carefully taped tissue paper. A pancake breakfast made by the DH, with two cheerful helpers. Time to do art together, and later time for games and a walk. Feeling very lucky and cherished, which is a great way to feel.
Hope the day is lovely for all you moms out there!
Your post put a smile on my face! What a super mother's day and thanks for sharing such wonderful artwork and loving thoughts to you! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet this post is! Happy Mother's Day, Evangeline!
ReplyDeleteThe inside poem & the tree are so sweet - thanks for sharing! Nice work with the news supplies. Can't wait to see what else they inspire!
ReplyDeleteagain, happy mamas day!
Why does Liam's first choice up on the list "hardworking" make me chuckle? Even kids can't ignore the fact that you're slaving your butt off! You'd expect "My mom that gives me cool stuff and makes me yummy things to eat." But nooooo, hardworking. Adorable. What a wonderful day. Much needed, hey? xo deb
ReplyDeleteI know, eh? :) My favourite was "calm". I sure as heck don't always feel calm, but apparently I am doing well at keeping up the visage. Yay!
ReplyDeleteAnd it was such a wonderful day! We played video games until our wrists hurt and I made sultana scones to have with our afternoon tea, and the boys were so, so happy to be giving special time and attention to mum. Really awesome.
You are so loved! Glad your Mom's day was so full of love and fun! Lol, my mother's day card would not include the word calm!
ReplyDeleteSqueeee! We were commenting on each other's blogs at the exact same time! Synchronicity, eh? Thanks for the bloggy love and the understanding. We sure feel each other's pains, don't we? Hope you're having a good day today.
