This is really special. The colors, the textures, the layers, the hidden text, the composition, the found objects, and the sentiment. Can you tell I like it?! So much so that it is now linked to my blog in my Inspiration Station (icon on the sidebar).
Just beautiful. I especially love your words on "all of the best people I know are, at least a little bit broken." Maybe the little bit broken is not actually broken- but the part that makes them "the best". So, I would like to think of them as really whole and a star in their own perfection. Just another perspective. Found you from Seth Apter's Inspiration Station showcase at The Altered Page. Jill
And Seth, wow. I am totally fan girl excited about being included in your Inspiration Station! *squeals and runs around kitchen like she's 13 and at a Jonas Brothers concert* WOW. Thank you so very much!
@Jill Thank you, and I agree completely. I think that "brokenness" opens them up to being the best. I think there is deep beauty in the struggles and the flaws.
This is lovely. Yes I think most people I know are or have been just a little broken, myself included. This is such a thoughtful piece and the pallete adds to that as much as your centerpiece.

That statement rings so true and feels so right.
