#21 Thou Mayest

~

#21 The quote on the journal page is from East of Eden.

"There's more beauty in the truth even if it is dreadful beauty. The storytellers at the gate twist life so that it looks sweet to the lazy and the stupid and the weak, and this only strengthens their infirmities and teaches nothing, cures nothing, nor does it let the heart soar."

The teacher journals:

4 more days of school and then summer vacation. S.U.M.M.E.R. I am practically salivating for it.

  1. Love. it. The blues and greens...oh. And the quote, oh, the quote! I feel like you made this one for me, all special like. I rather suspect everyone feels this way, which is what makes your work so fucking brilliant.
